Jules Angst Symposium & Zurich Psychiatry Meeting

One Day, Two Perspectives
Join us for a symposium honouring one of the pioneers of modern psychiatry while exploring the latest advances in psychiatric research.

Jules Angst
  • Honouring a lifetime of scientific achievement
We pay tribute to the remarkable scientific legacy of Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Jules Angst, who served as Professor of Clinical Psychiatry and Director of Research at the Psychiatric University Hospital Zurich from 1969 to 1994. He passed away on 15 May 2026 in his 100th year of life. The keynote lecture will be delivered by Prof. Dr. Wulf Rössler.
  • Looking ahead: The future of psychiatric research
The Zurich Psychiatry Meeting explores current developments and future directions in psychiatric research through presentations by leading researchers and promising early-career scientists. The programme also includes the presentation of research and poster awards. We are particularly pleased to welcome Prof. Dr. Carmine Pariante as keynote speaker.

The Jules Angst Symposium & Zurich Psychiatry Meeting will be held on 29 October 2026, from 10:00 to 18:00, in Lecture Hall Z1 03 at the Psychiatric University Hospital Zurich (PUK).
