Humour as an emotion regulation strategy in children
This project investigates the potential of humour as an educational intervention, focusing on its impact on motivation, frustration regulation, and persistence in children aged 5 to 6 years.
Early childhood education benefits from effective strategies that help children manage frustration and cope with mistakes. This project explores the potential of humour as an educational intervention. Specifically, we examine how humour shapes motivation, supports frustration regulation, and fosters persistence in children aged 5 to 6 years. In collaboration with Dr. Ebru (University of Bern), Dr. Andrea de Carlos Bujan (Universitat Abat Oliba CEU), and Prof. Dr. Andrea Samson (Unidistance), our lab investigates whether—and in what ways—humour can positively influence learning in young children.
